Day 74 – Surprise visit

Life is weird. From every thing you do, other things come up, other opportunities rise and everything else afterwards is influenced.

Two years ago, I thought I would be living in San Sebastián “happily ever after”. One year ago, I thought life was shit. Two month ago, I though I would be on my way to Norway right now and travel trough Scandinavia and Eastern Europe until July.
A few months ago, Johanna and I were living 2000 km apart from each other, meeting up every 6 months or so. Now we just spent 5 weeks together 24/7 and miss each other as soon as we loose sight of each other. A sister-like relationship has developed between the two of us. We even met up yesterday – the day I came back from my family reunion – to hike a bit and eat together (rice with tuna of course!). The path we took was the one I walked every single day for quite a long period of my life and it had completely disappeared into wild nature now.

5 days ago, we said farewell to Mitch and Ben, as if we weren’t seeing each other again for at least 5 years. 24 hours ago, they texted us with the idea to come to Germany. 2 hours ago we picked them up at the airport. 20 minutes ago, we arrived back home and are now sleeping in the same house again. Which is weird and unexpected and awesome.

We even had a little “strong and happy” sign for the airport pickup but were too excited to make any pictures.
Johanna will move in too tomorrow and we will spend the next days here, trying not to annoy my poor parents too much, who suddenly have 4 “children” living under their roof.

I'm Anna and I decided to leave everything behind and travel for a few months in order to reorganize my life.
